John Ronald Ruel Tolkien, the author, is a visionary genius. In The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien demonstrates his creative writing skills by not only playing on his flights of fancy but by assisting the reader in creating theirs too. Bilbo Baggins, the Shire’s most famous hobbit, retires and bequeaths his magical ring to his nephew, Frodo Baggins. When Gandalf the Grey, a traveling wizard, discovers the true nature of the ring, Frodo lives contentedly until middle age. It’s the long-lost One Ring, crafted by the dark lord Sauron to rule over all of Middle-earth. Gandalf encourages Frodo to carry the Ring to Rivendell, the Elven homeland. With his pals, Samwise Gamgee, Pippin, and Merry Brandybuck Frodo travel there.
A council of the wise in Rivendell (which included Gandalf and Frodo) decides that the Ring must be destroyed. This can only be done atop the volcanic Mount Doom, deep within Sauron’s Mordor dominion. The Fellowship journeys through the Elven woodland of Lothlórien and the old subterranean Dwarf realm of Moria, wherein Gandalf perishes. Meanwhile, Gollum, an archaic hobbitish creature who previously bore the Ring for generations and now wants it back, is following them. Boromir is similarly enamored with the Ring and the abilities it may provide, but before he could grasp it, the Fellowship is splintered by an attack by evil orcs. Sam and Frodo make their way to Mordor.
Boromir perishes in the raid while defending Merry and Pippin, who are kidnapped and taken to Saruman, the evil wizard. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli pursue their companions to Rohan, a horse-riding kingdom. They run into Gandalf, who has returned as Gandalf the White to Middle-earth. They work together to save King Théoden from Saruman’s servant’s tyranny. They accompany the Rohirrim to Helm’s Deep, where Saruman’s army is besieging them.
Merry and Pippin manage to elude their captors and come across Treebeard the Ent, a tree shepherd. The Hobbits urge the ents to fight Saruman and his army, and at Helm’s Deep, the tree-herders imprison Saruman and his armies. At Saruman’s tower, the Fellowship’s remaining members reunite the tower of Saruman Gandalf and Pippin rush to the borderlands of Mordor, Gondor.

Meanwhile, Frodo and Sam enlist the unanticipated assistance of Gollum, who is well-versed in the Mordor terrain. Faramir, the late Boromir’s brother, leads the Ithilien Rangers in capturing Frodo and Sam. To save Gollum from the Rangers, Frodo assists Faramir in catching him. When Faramir discovers the One Ring, he sends his hostages to Gondor to deliver it to his father, Denethor. Frodo shares the true character of the ring on the way. Faramir releases them, impressed by Frodo’s courage. After arriving at Cirith Ungol, Gollum plans to deceive Frodo and recapture the Ring.
The Return of the King is the final installment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and it follows the final fights and the devastation of the Ring of Power, which was borne by Gollum, Bilbo, and finally Frodo. The Battle of the Ring hits its culmination when Sauron, the Dark Lord, sets his eyes on Minas Tirith, Gondor’s capital. When Pippin can’t help but stare into Saruman’s Palantir and is briefly contacted by the Dark Lord, the Fellowship in Rohan is alerted of the imminent onslaught. It comes to a close with the Hobbits rebuilding the Shire and returning to their regular lifestyles. Sam gets married and starts a family. Frodo resolves to leave the Shire and sails across the Great Sea with Bilbo, Gandalf, and the other Ring-bearers to the West.

Gandalf’s journey across the Mines of Moria, where he died to rescue his companions and rose again as “Gandalf the White,” as a symbol of Christ’s resurrection. Frodo, like Jesus, bears a load of evil for the sake of the entire world. Frodo is frequently seen as the part of Christ who went through sorrow and sacrifice. His journey to return to Middle-earth with the One Ring can be regarded as a picture of Christ’s sacrifice—his death for man’s sin.
Sam represents the regular guy, and he is greater heroic than he believes. Gollum represents ambition, greed, and intellect, but he also represents a long-forgotten aspect of himself that is rarely discussed: goodness. The book teaches us .Every relationship has its highs and lows. Relationships aren’t flawless even on Middle Earth. Fathers and sons, lovers and girlfriends, noble wizards and terrible dark lords: everyone knows there is dysfunction! Do not undervalue yourself. Hobbits may be diminutive in stature, but their potential is enormous. They can accomplish a huge adventure and perhaps rescue the world with a little push! Your setbacks might be the start of a great journey of self-discovery and freedom.
